The Local Vocal Social is an open invitation for the local community to come together in song - for people of all ages to enjoy a day of singing, led by acclaimed professional ensemble, Luminescence Chamber Singers. This day-long program includes free workshops, and free performances by Luminescence Chamber Singers, and Luminescence Children’s Choir (Gungahlin only). 

Singing is one of the most accessible modes of engaging with arts, culture, and music, and singing with others has a wide range of benefits for both individual health and wellbeing. The Local Vocal Social is an opportunity to gather with friends new and old for an uplifting day of song. 

Whether you're a seasoned choral regular, or just looking at dipping your toe in the water, don't miss the opportunity to sing alongside Luminescence, to learn a brand new piece by Dan Walker, and to enjoy making new friends and great music along the way.  There are absolutely no ongoing commitments, auditions or performance pressure, so come along and try it out!
